FIORA gets a brand makeover during the pandemic.
Toilet paper? It seems relatively unimportant until there’s a global shortage and consumers run to find any brand that is on the shelf. Thankfully, the folks at FIORA were quietly gearing up production right as things got sparse.
We started 2020 with a ton of enthusiasm especially since we were on the verge of launching the new FIORA brand packaging and website.
An update that feels familiar.
Maybe FIORA doesn’t need new branding or a new website because the shortage has disrupted all toilet paper inventory. Many have attributed the shortage to disruptions in the supply chain. But it’s actually a result of panic-buying, according to Dr. Ronald Gonzalez, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forest Biomaterials.
The truth is that FIORA was moving from a value brand to a challenger brand status. The brand makeover started with the logo and included a deep dive into the things that consumers cared about on the packaging — like 70% more. And sustainability. People really care about sustainability. We wanted the brand to be able to go toe to toe with the market leaders: Charmin, Angelsoft and Seventh Generation (to name a few). That meant utilizing some of the existing brand assets into a new, modern upbeat design.

You have now entered the FIORASPHERE.
The FIORA brand development included a quirky new website with photos by Dana Hursey and, videos by Brave Media. We decided it would be important to have a FIORAFINDER (Powered by Destini) and a very useful blog with amazing insights and ideas about the products.
The new site is dymanic, fresh and upbeat.
If there was a dog show for toilet paper packaging, we’d for sure probably be a finalist. We knew right away that FIORA was special because it’s sustainably-made, yet affordable, and still performs in those places where you need a good paper product to do its job. We think that’s pretty smart. And smart feels good.
The high energy imagery on the website is a combination of photographs, illustrations and tasty product renderings. Ana Jaks was the genius behind the illustrations and Program 11 supplied the deep content for the highly engaging blog.
FIORA can hold up a whale?
We took on the task of launching the newly revitalized brand with short videos that played on HULU, RevTrax, Spotify and Pandora. The videos are quirky and informative. They illuminate the benefits of FIORA paper products.

What’s the difference between a brand and a logo?
Great question. We believe that building a high quality brand starts with research, brand strategy and a solid marketing plan. Does the require a great logo. Yes. Sometimes we will utilize a client’s existing logo as it may have some equity already built up. other times, we are required to revamp a logo — or completely reinvent it. Having a great product and a website does not necessarily mean you have a brand. That’s why we prefer to craft the entire customer journey to build trust and engagement with your intended target audience.
How much will this cost me?
A basic kit starts at about $25,000. Most of our clients like to add on to our kits — making them cost more. The added value can be seen here on our price lists.
How long does this process usually take?
Our team is ready to go. We typically break each project into phases. Each phase can take 1-2 weeks depending on the complexity of the assignment. If you are in a huge hurry, we get that. We can review schedule options to prioritze the most impostant aspects of creating, launching and igniting your business. We require a 50% deposit prior to commencing the first phase.
